Stipend for fellows to attend NYMDA Program

The New York Medical Directors Association, the professional association of medical directors, attending physicians, and others practicing in the long term care continuum, is dedicated to excellence in patient care and provides education, advocacy, information, and professional development to promote the delivery of quality long term care medicine. We are a state chapter of the national organization AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (http://www.amda.com).

The New York Medical Director’s Association (NYMDA) is offering stipends to Geriatric Fellows to attend either or both of its annual educational meetings. Meetings take place in May in Albany, NY and November near LaGuardia airport, Queens, NY.

Applicants will meet and can choose among many of the leaders in Geriatric Medicine in NY State as mentors while attending these day long educational events.

Eligible applicants should submit a brief letter or e-mail of interest to include current fellowship site, expected date of completion and future plans.

Applicants should similarly obtain a brief letter/e-mail of support from their Fellowship Director.

Stipends will be offered to eligible applicants on a first come first serve basis as funding is limited. Registration fees for both meetings are waived and one night hotel accommodation is provided for the meeting in Albany, NY.

More information on NYMDA and these meetings may obtained at www.nymda.org
